This is a common problem with a number of aftermarket high performance exhaust manifolds, the solution is to replace them with the Cyclone "Shorty"! An all 316L stainless steel header designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for your cast aluminum manifolds.
By retaining your existing stainless steel tailpipe or riser, you can remove your existing manifolds and simply slide the new "Shorty Header" into place and connect your existing tailpipes. These units are currently available to replace Mercury Hi-Performance, Gil Marine, and Rex Marine Power Torque manifolds. Each header is manufactured to the highest quality standard using 100% 316L stainless steel construction, laser machined flanges for a perfect gasket seal, and exhaust tubes that are B.T.B. bent to exact tolerances every time. A fully welded computer designed water inlet manifold assures equal water flow to each individual exhaust tube. These headers are completely annealed to maximize durability while preventing corrosion. CAD-5 technology was used to develop the staggered length exhaust tube runners which provide for broader low and mid range torque, while yielding incredible peak power. This kit comes complete with all necessary bolts and gaskets to attach to your engine. Coolant Tank relocation brackets are included. The new Seaward System bears all of the superior quality's of their standard seaward system with the addition of a companion tailpipe allowing the connection of the factory tailpipe already in use. This is the perfect solution for engines equipped with silent choice or custom tailpipes as the user can still retain those. each kit comes complete with all necessary hardware for a complete installation.
The Seaward 525/600/700SCI staggered-custom exhaust system offering is designed for the boats the were originally equipped with their engines in a staggered formation placing one engine fore and aft of each other. Traditionally the front engine was equipped with a taller set of headers that often had unique tilt and angle to overcome passing the tailpipes past the rear engine.
These systems feature all of the superb Seaward features along with a 316L polished intermediate connecting tailpipe allowing use or re-use of the boats original tailpipe just as a direct replacement to the factory headers. These systems are one of kind custom built systems per application and are priced based on a complete filled out measurement sheet that must be provided by the purchaser.

Big Block 525 Merc EFI/700 Replacement Exhaust System (Standard Exit)
Stainless Marine has been building quality marine exhaust systems for a number of years. So when theneed arose for a manifold option or solution for the popular Mercury racing 525/600 and 700 EFI enginesthey were right on top of it. Stainless marine has designed an exhaust pattern machining fixturethat when attached to the factory cylinder head will allow boring, drilling, machining and tapping of auxiliaryexhaust system attachment holes. These new holes will allow attachment of one of their traditional H/Pmanifold systems. Exhaust exits are designed for standard Bravo exit locations.
Note: Machining of Cylinder Heads is required to use these manifolds. A machining fixture is available for rent to facilitate this.
