Hardin Marine introduces the new High Torque, Top Mount Starter. This starter features 5 full roller bearings, and a heat dissipating solenoid designed to eliminate the “hot start” syndrome. It features a 9 tooth pinion gear. Fits applications with a 4" center to center mounting hole dimension. The sealed drive assembly prevents debris from entering the starter motor. Counter Clockwise Rotation. This reliable starter will have your boat turning over every time for years to come. Needs .040-.100 clearance between the edge of the starter gear to the edge of the flywheel when the starter is not engaged. The starter gear should use 90% of the ring gear when the starter is engaged.
