All RGB or RGBW lights need to have a controller in order to be able to change the light colors.  It is possible that one controller can operate many lights on the boat if they are RGB including speakers rings and accent lights, but that is dependent on the amp draw of said lights. PlashLights waterproof Bluetooth controller is operated via a mobile phone app to turn on/off,  adjust the brightness or color, adjust color temperature, and change preset color patterns. There are a variety of lighting patterns to choose from.
