An "EPA fuel fill" refers to a boat fuel fill fitting designed to meet or exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 2011 mandate for near-zero-emissions portable fuel systems. These sealed systems prevent hydrocarbon vapors from escaping into the atmosphere, which is achieved by using a 5/8" Vacuum Over Pressure Relief (VOPR) valve in the fill cap that automatically releases excess pressure or creates a vacuum. This design addresses the environmental issue of diurnal emissions (vapors released from tanks due to temperature changes) and ensures fuel system safety. Fuel connection is 1-1/2" hose.
