External Balance Steel Flywheel Gen 4,5 & 6 B/B Chevy (Top/Bellhousing Mount Starter)

These all new steel flywheels are manufactured from certified billet material that will not break up under the stress and severe punishment of on and off throttle in high RPM marine environments.

Attaching locating tabs have been installed on the ring gear making rear gear shift and movement a thing of the past. Giving you the edge you’re looking for.

NOTE: Big block Chevy's flywheel (or flexplate) counterweight balance changed significantly with the introduction of the Gen 5 and 6 engines around 1991 due to the switch to a one-piece rear main seal. This change increased the external balance offset from approximately 33.0 to 42.5 ounce-inches for the Gen 5/6 engines and even shifted to a different spec of 41.7 ounce-inches for some Gen 6 forged cranks.
