External Balance Alum. Flywheel Gen 4,5, & 6 B/B Chevy (Top/Bellhousing
Mounted Starter)
These all new billet aluminum flywheels are manufactured from certified
billet material that will not break up under the stress and severe punishment of
on and off throttle in high RPM marine environments.
By using a lighter aluminum flywheel, you will be
rewarded with both faster acceleration and deceleration. Giving you the edge
you’re looking for.

NOTE: Big block Chevy's flywheel (or flexplate) counterweight balance changed significantly with the introduction of the Gen 5 and 6 engines around 1991 due to the switch to a one-piece rear main seal. This change increased the external balance offset from approximately 33.0 to 42.5 ounce-inches for the Gen 5/6 engines and even shifted to a different spec of 41.7 ounce-inches for some Gen 6 forged cranks.
