This handy invention provides a new stainless steel fitting provision along with a hose and the necessary gaskets and clamp to permanently fix the issue. This kit replaces the OEM Mercruiser # 32-8M0090859

*SYMPTOMS* you may need this unit is that your engine is over heating with no apparent cause in that the sea water pump impeller is in good working condition and you cannot overcome unusual high water temps. When water is starved to your sea water pump it cause premature wear and blade tip breakage AKA pump failure.

I was hopeful this would be a solution to the late Bravo inlet hose problem. It should have been, but the flanged end is clocked in such a way that it kinks when installed. It shuts off the water completely when you turn left at all. The tech at Hardin refused to listen to my concern and told me I installed it wrong. The two holes on the flange obviously have to line up with the waterneck bolts so it can't be installed wrong. Their jig must be damaged but the guy refused to even check. Beware if you need this, and look at the 90 degree bend right after it goes through the transom. This is where mine kinked and there is no way to torsionally adjust that flange. I can understand a mismade part but not shitty customer service.

Plastic inert removal tool is a piece of shit as you will need a metal version to complete the installation.
